I have always wanted to be a presenter on tv. i have some performing arts experience but no presenting exp. do i need a degree in this field to start or can i send a demo in and what should i say in the demo. should i make it funny or be serious

Hmm, difficult since most presenters I know come from a journalist back ground.

Work on a great portfolio and get your name down at a good casting agency. Once you've done some shoots for tv, you end up knowing the right persons and might be invited to do a trial for a program. Sending just a tape won't say anybody anything, make sure that you get to know the right people, or the people with contacts.

It all comes down to you!!!

start by doing voice testing.. call a radio station its safe to start there.. try get recorded and then set up a portfolio.. and do your own mock filming with someone serious.. u have to take it serious as on TV u can never stuff it up.. and get giggle fits..

if not.. do what the first guy said.. just sleep your way to the top.. its that kinda business.. sadly..
