Wow, this really made me rush out and search for the answer. Here it is:
The first is Saurav Ganguly. 88 matches, 5221 runs. 12 test centuries, never lost the match in which he hit them.
The second is Gundappa Vishwanath. 91 matches, 6080 runs. 14 test centuries, never lost the match in which he hit them.
Kapil Dev comes a close third. 8 centuries, just one test lost against South Africa (1992-1993). Includes a century in the Madras tied test in 1986.

Before anyone gets all worked up about English and stuff, I'm stating this as a native Dutch speaker. Without the accents, I pronounce them differently. Zoe Dutch: ZOO (Dutch oe is pronounced oo) English: ZOW (like in Joe, Doe etc.) Zowi Dutch: ZOW-ee English: ZOW-ee Now, if you put accents on the e in Zoë, it will be a different story. Zoë Dutch: ZOW-ee English: ZOW-ee (yet they told me that the use of accents is very uncommon in the US) Depending on where you live (taking in the uncommonness of using accents in the US) I'd definitely pick Zoë as a spelling for pronunciation ZOW-ee. It just looks phonetically correct, at least to me it does. I asked my partner how he'd pronounce Zoe without any accents (he's from the US) and he said he'd avoid the name because it could be either: Zow, Zow-ee or Zow-ay. If you can't use the accents don't use the name. Zowi or Zoey would be the best alternative for pronunciation ZOW-ee, even though my spelling corrector doesn't like either of them. Another alternate spelling and pronunciation you might like (just as a suggestion): Zoé. (ZOW-ay). But yet again, the accent would be necessary to make the pronunciation clear at first sight.
