A ginat arachnid type eight-leggedy beastie that can shoot web from giant spinnerets ensnaring humans. They are like a typical spider - one bite will inject an immobilising venom so you are awake yet cannot move. They lay their eggs on you and their young feast on you alive when they hatch.

This form of arachnid has always been here, they are a remnant of our past, like the megladon or coelacanth and a pair was uneartherd when us humans raped the landscape, as we do, of regional Australia. Long term memories of reporduction and survival were resurrected and breeding was rapid and torrid.

They swept the landscape and, being the size of a minivan, wiped out whatever crossed their path - egg sacs blew in the tradewinds over to New Zealand, Indonesia, PNG and the South Pacific and from there they made their way across the planet in droves, stowing away on ships, planes etc.

Phew, I feel rather cleansed.....that was fun!

The worst monster I could think of was when I was a little child and my family use to scare us by making up names of monster. The first monster they called was "Bloody bones" She was a woman that was skinned a live. She seeked revenge on those that did it to her. I had always imagine her bleeding constantly, scooting across the floor. Very scary

The second monster was called the hank
He was a really mean man that looked like a witch, warlock, and bird. He had razor sharp teeth and nails. Long nose bushy eyebrows. He love to eat kids that has been bad. Boy my family was wrong for doing that to me.

An weird kind of group of aliens that demand from us yearly supplies of humans to eat. Like 15 million a year or something, plus their monster side they transfer into when they want to go on and eating spree. It would also take an incredibly painful day inside of them to be digested.

i always thought that shadows were pretty scary, only because they lack an actual "appearance" so you can impose your own fear into what they are. nothing is more scary than what you are imagining in your mind. either that or pat robertson....
