The old saying is beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Some will think it ugly and some will think it beautiful. Whether any one human body is ugly or beautiful is a very personal thing. When confronted with it without consent, we can become uncomfortable, embarrassed, or afraid. Not so much in the nudity but in our reaction to it and how that may affect the opinion of others about ourselves.
We think many thoughts that are never verbalized and no one would ever know them. Without any forewarning or preparedness for such a personal statement of nudity, our initial reaction is unguarded. It may be a more truthful reaction, but Truth can be painful for ourselves and of others around us.
Keep the nudity private and personal unless you are with others of a similar mind. Why make everyone else uncomfortable?

Our views on many such things really expose our dichotomy. If you had asked the question without the word "PUBLIC" in between , I would have said "yes .I like it" . How many of us are not enjoying the freedom in the bathrooms? It is always a great feeling to be rid of an external imposition , to be natural and to be as you were when you were born. If I like it that way why am I not liking it when the others are walking around naked?
I should not , really. But , then , we do. Why ? because of the word Public. If the clothing was only to cover your genitals you could have left the other parts of the body open. You didnot , either.
Today the law says that you cannot go naked in public. So, I cannot. There are some societies where the entire body is to be covered , except a whole for the eyses. That is their law.
On a lighter vein, what will happen when humans are able to "read " the other people`s mind. Sort of see through their mind. What will they hide and how?

Humans always pride themselves to be a higher species because of their ability to think and make decisions. In my opinion, the ability to think is starting to get in the way of our lives. Because people think, and everyone think differently, quarrels and fights are started. Because people think, their school essays get discredited; students are not supposed to think, they are supposed to 'think' like people of the past who had written some books or some form of evidence and include those in the essays. Because people think, those who don't think have to conform to the ideas of the former. Because people think, they cannot come to a decision about some things and it will always be there, never-ending, never gonna be solved. Because people think. Too much in fact. Wouldn't it be good if everyone just do things without thinking too much? Go for it. On impulse. On instinct. Would that make things better? Look what has all the thinking done to us. Yes, we have the technology, the entertainment and everything else which people of the past did not have but we no longer have the simplicity in people. I'm not saying that people in the past did not think but they were smarter. They don't think so much. What's the point of thinking so much and still no conclusion and decision could be made? Doesn't that make you feel worse?
Bottomline: we think too much. Don't k. To whoever this is applicable to.

Even the most beautiful lady looks more attractive when the genitals are covered. Nudity, whether in public or otherwise, is crude and regressive for us human beings. No need to take help of law or social norms or religious sanction or anything, it is just decency of the emancipated humanity that repeals nudity.

Nudity should be public or else there is no sense in being nude.
Any idiot can be nude in private. The thrill comes when nudity is in public!
Of course, the law in the US won't allow public nudity. Pity.

I like clothes and being naked for a special person and reason. I think the way the world is, nudity in the public is irrational...

I wish we were allowed to wander around naked-at least then I could get one mystery out of the way!

If I had enough money then I would walk around nude. It takes a certain amount of financial stability to be able to do what you want with out caring about other people.

Although i believe that any one has the right to do what ever he wants to, but there are boundaries to our rights. That is the price you need to pay to live on civil society..
