Why is 1 side of aluminum foil dull and the other shiny? & which side of the foil should you place your food when using 2 cook on...or does it really matter?

The shiny side reflects the heat and the dull part absorbs the heat. Now its upto you which side you want the heat on!

The shiny side reflects more heat than the dull side. Put the shiny side toward the food to shorten the cooking time and reduce sticking.

I think you are supposed to keep the shiny side out and the dull side in.

it's just a result of production process and both sides are equal for use
