Maybe you should try that drink called Boost....I started drinking them once in an attempt to LOSE weight because I misread the label...but one day at work I looked down and right there on the front it said something like "to help maintain weight or gain weight" BUT......
If you are 40+ years old, and you have been this way all your life...and you are healthy...then it seems that your body is where it should be. People that tease are nothing but jealous, insecure about themselves, or are just plain as sholes. Don't start to get desperate....start trying to gain confidence and happiness with yourself...that will start to show more than anything...and maybe even help with the teasing...maybe your lack of confidence in yourself makes you an easy target for these jerks...and maybe next time someone says something.....fire a joke right back at them! Show them how it feels...and if they get their feelings hurt...then say, "It doesn't feel so good, does it?"
*edited....I can tell you the best way to gain weight is to eat unhealthy foods and not work out! That's how I got in this predicament!

I have a friend who has an incredibly high metabolism. She says she drinks whole milk. If you're not a vegatarian, eat more beef and potato for dinner. Have icecream right before you go to bed. Mix whey protien in with a milkshake or add to your cereal, or add it to a carnation instant breakfast. Try baby foods, usually thier more fatty so that the babies stay healthy, like baby oatmeal, that's yummy, however wierd it may seem. It's not unhealthy to have some junk food in your day, eat 5 cookies or a candy bar in addition to fruit. Carrots have sugar, eat those to counter the junk food. Shellfish are pretty fattening too.
I hope I helped! I basically told you to eat all the things I've been recently eating for comfort since my hubby deployed and I've gained a pound a day and he's been gone a week!
GOOD LUCK!!!!!!

People have teased me for always being thick. We have to face people are going to be cruel. Until something happens to them that changes their point of view then we can do nothing about it. Love who you are. When someone tells you that you don't look right in what ever you are wearing. just say oh we are now telling the truth about each other and tell them something about themself. They might not like it but they started the being honest thing.

would it help if i told you that your husband will love you for just the way you are?
if that doesn't help, set a goal... a REASONABLE and REALISTIC goal -- say about... 20 pounds. that's safe. consult with a dietician. try some protein bars and some high-caliber whey. take some red meat cooked in beer. hmmm, speaking of beer... drink a bottle every other day. the malt in the beer helps a lot. and of course... build some nice lean muscle at the gym. that's the ticket... high protein diet, muscle build-up and toning at the gym.

Yeah ignore them....
Eat donuts. I know it sounds dumb but as many as you can a day that will put weight on you. Slim fast with meal...A lot of milk if you can drink it. Some people are just small. There isn't anything you can do about it.

You are who and what you are - and that is just great. Also, many years ago, when a buddy of mine was playing college football, their coach made them eat bananas in whole milk with sugar on them to gain weight. It seemed to work pretty well.

deep inside do you really want to gain weight? do really think you are too slim? if yes, then here' s a few tips.
eat more meat, eggs, whole grain bread, milk and cheese. if you want to gain weight, do it healthily not with junk food. increase your meal portions, but still excercise, because it is important for your heart and mind.

Talk to your doctor. Although it might just be that that is the way you are. If you are healthy, then I'm sure you look good. I am the same way, people tell me I'm skinny, but it is just how I am. I accept myself as I am, and it is okay.
