A story "The Lost Child" is writen by Mulk Raj Anand. I read it in my school days. I shall be thankful if someone gets me the text of the story.

It is a very small story bu one of the classics in short story variety.
It is about a small child of about 3 years being taken to the fare by his parents. There are many attractions in the fare for the child like balloons the merry go round the toys and eatables.The child asks his father to buy those things for him.The parents are poor hence they could not purchase any thing for the child. The crowd is thick and the parents try to move through it holding the child's hand. at one stage they don't notice that the child has slipped out of his fathers hand. He starts crying asking for his father and mother some one picks up the child and tries to console the child by offering to purchase the balloon and other things which he wanted. But now the child does not want any thing .he keeps crying and saying I want my father ,i want my mother.
