It's almost deer season in Georgia.I don't have a problem with hunting if it's for food. What is the psychology behind guys who strap a bloody deer to the front of their truck like a gruesome hood ornament or trophy? It disturbs my children and myself when we see this out on the road.

I am in a rural section and hunting is a big deal here. I am an animal lover and I see it as no different than if you strapped a dead dog or cat up there. There was a question in there concerning the psychology behind showing it off as opposed to putting it down in the bed of the truck. Ahhhh, the smell of testosterone is here.

I'm all for hunting as a sport as well as food but I agree, that's terrible. It would upset children but there are too many people in the world that just don't care about anyone else except themselves. I don't think you are complaining about nothing but unfortunately, I don't think there would be much you can do about it. Maybe speak to your local government about it as it does promote animal cruelty in a way and that's not what you want your children to learn

If its that disturbing, maybe you have the option to change your environment. People are assholes anywhere you go. If its not deer strapped to the hood assaulting your sensibilities it will be something else somewhere else. Maybe if you have a friend that owns a large billboard or advertising company you can begin to seed the public opinion that only closet homosexuals seeking affirmation of thier manhood would do such a thing, anything short of that will probably not work, and you'll be the laughing stock of your community over something so petty if you were to bring it to debate. Live and let live. and in this case live and let kill (during hunting season of course).

That's what happens when you get a bunch of drunk male with too much adrenaline and a gun in hand.

Whatever it is, people should learn to be more respectful to everything: mother, son, granny, dead granny, deer, dead deer, lamp post, car, maple tree, beaver, empty beer can, etc.

Is there a question there? I saw a statement.
The dead deer on the front bumper, I don't understand the why, maybe the pickup bed is full?
Bottom line, big deal. Find something serious to get upset about or move.
