I just don't get it. I assume for most people it's a case of, a family member brought one home and now you feel bad setting it free on the side of the road.
But still.
Then again, I don't understand why people have babies either. Children are worse then pets, they can talk.

There's no need for you to be rude. Just cuz you don't like pets or children, doesn't mean anything. Get yourself a hobby and stop leaving rude remarks on here. It souns like to me that you don't like children or pets cuz you are heartless and a child yourself!

You only show your ignorance. Animals are only smelly and dirty if the owner doesn't clean up after them properly. As for the babies comment, it is human instinct to want to have children - like all animals we have a drive to breed or we would have died out. Since this drive is something that develops with maturity, I can only assume either that a) you are a child trying to sound authorative or b) you are a loner that understands nothing about a human being's complex relationship requirements. I feel bad for you.
I keep animals because they bring love in to my life. I love my pets and choose to keep them. They are not a substitute for anything; I have loving friends and family. Animals understand the concept of friendship and that sadly seems to place them a rung above you.
By all means have your opinions on pet keeping. Just do not paint all pets and all pet owners with one brush.

ok you don't need to be on this site if you are going to be an *** wipe. obviously you never owned a pet or had children. you are a very lonely person if all you can do is talk rude s**t to these other people about how you don't like animals and children. now let me tell you i have both and they are great to have. people that are like you and that have never had to experience having animals or children then yu are probably messy, stinky, you probably mess up your furnature and probably piss in your house. your house is probably dirty and that is why you are bashing these good people that love their life style. just one more thing you need to get off this site and go talk to someone that gives a sh*t about what you are talking about. you probably were not loved as a child and now you are just pissed off because people are loving animals and havimg children to love. you need to try it and you might change your mind about kids and animals. if you still feel the same then you really need some help.

Why would anyone not want to care for a pet? And how a person cant like a child just baffles my mind-they are the greatest joys on earth. I have many pets and rescue pets it is something my family and I really enjoy. And as for children-I couldn't even imaging my life with no children in it. I feel sorry for you that you are missing out on so much in this life.

I have a pet, because I enjoy it! If you train them well, you don't have all those problems, and they become part of the family! I have a dog because I have decided that I do not want children. Don't get me wrong I love kids, just not my own. Pets are a good thing, they can be your best friend, you can tell them secrets, and they don't go running to the next person they see and tell them!

I'm very glad you don't own pets or have children. At least you're not contributing to overpopulation or animal cruelty. And pets, much like children, can be trained, but it takes patience and a kind heart.

well I have 2 cats. they are none of the things you just described. Not dirty, smelly nor do they mess up my furniture! As far as children...how do you think YOU got here?? I bet your glad your parents arent as intolerant as you are or you would have been thrown in a trash can instead of living to ask this stupid question!!

Some people get pets because they are lonely. And easier to take care of. they dont cry and wake you up in the middle of the night unlike babies do.
