whats the use of calamine liotion? to reduce pimple marks or pimples?

I was prescribed calamine lotion by the doctor when I had chicken pox. Generally it kind of ease the itchiness on the face/body. So as to prevent the affected area from getting worst.

dis is a method taught by my mum...whenever we have an zit she'll asked us to break it then apply calamine lotion to it, leaving it to dry..continue to apply calamine lotion (eg if u wash it off etc), then slowly the pimple will dry up n peel off...dat simple..works for us all...juz have to be patient, gotta to wait for few days..

but my mama's calamine lotion is not those normal ones for chickenpox..hers was bought many years ago from a brand called "Elie/Elite", japanese brand..cant find it now...perhaps u cud try the normal calamine lotion to see if it works:)

..Calamine lotion is .a soothing agent,it decrease irritation and allergy.It is especially used for any kind of rash which is irritating and allergic origin.It gives great relief.It is not used for pimples,you need to take antibiotics for it,and for marks it is better to use melanin deplteing agents. ..........................................................................................................................................
