I don't see a lot of difference in the facial features of Cuban and Costa Rican born people.
But truth be told I have not met many, I'm going by the actors I see on the television.

I can't agree with you. Although fashion definitely plays a part, there are huge differences. Do you honestly think that generally Scandinavians, people from Iceland, people from Germany look identical to people from the south of Portugal for example? There a big differences in skin colour, hair colour, facial features and build. Perhaps what you're saying is that often neighbouring countries, like France and Switzerland, or Germany and Poland normally have similarly looking inhabitants. That would be more accurate, but I'd still say you can often tell them apart.

The first thing you have to undestand is:
HISPANIC IS NOT A RACE! HISPANICS MAY BELONG TO ANY RACE: (WHITE, BLACK, INDIGENOUS, ASIAN AND MULTIRACIAL), THE ONLY HISPANICS DON'T BELONG TO IS THE HISPANIC RACE, BECAUSE IT DON'T EXISTS.
In countries like Cuba, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Puerto Rico etc. people may belong to any race. Most (but not all) Mexicans are multiracial, they have both indigenous and spanish ancestry. But there are white Mexicans too. I'll give some names of white Mexicans to you search on Google Images: "Santiago Creel", "Helena Rojo", etc. In Cuba, the indigenous was killed. Cubans are black, white or multiracial. Search for those Cubans: "Ricardo Alarcon" (politician) and "Javier Sotomayor" (athlete). Now would you say they belong to the same race, the "hispanic" race? Of course not, the first one is white, the second one is black. Fidel Castro himself is obvously white, but you was told since child that "he is from the hispanic race", "hispanic race", "hispanic race"... Learn this for all your life, that's very important: with the possible exception of El Salvador and Honduras ALL Latin American country have lots of races. And the way these races are present vary in each country. In Argentina and Uruguay whites are the majority. In Bolivia the native americans are the majority. In Dominican Republic the black are the majority. But all of them have minorities of other races. Okay?

I don't think so. The Hispanic peoples themselves can probably notice subtle differences, but to a person not of that race, they basically all have the same features. Just as my people the Cherokee basically resemble the other 4 civilized tribes.
Just as Jamaicans,resemble Africans,Arabians,Orientals.
(for some reason Yahoo would not allow me to use the word Celtic) . Irish/Scottish.ect.
I think You get the drift.

The people from most of the Carribbean Islands are decendants of either the Caucasians or Black slaves that took over the Islands. On these islands, most of the native peoples (who's decendents are the "Hispanic Looking People" from like Mexico etc.) died from disease since they had nowhere to run from the diseases from the White people. The "Hispanic Looking People" did not die out because they were able to "run" from the diseases.

The DNA source is going to make the DNA offspring look similar. There may be some minor variance due to diet or exposure to sunlight , and possibly culturial items (such as piercings, or tattoos) but essentially they're all going to be the same.

south america countries are, Venezuela, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Chile, Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay, Bolivia, Brazil, the Guyanas and Suriname .
central america countries are, Panamá, Guatemala, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Honduras, Belize.
caribbean countries are, Antigua and Barbuda, Aruba, Bahamas,
Barbados, Cayman Islands, Cuba, Dominica, Dominican Republic,
Grenada, Guadeloupe, Haiti, Jamaica, Martinique, Puerto Rico,
St. Kitts and Nevis, St. Lucia, St. Vincent and the Grenadines
its like any country. we have everything, from white, blond, blue or green eyes, to dark people, brown eyes, black hair. also you could find, white with black hair, blue, brown or green eyes, or a blond white with brown eyes.
usually the poorer are the ones darker but its not the rule. in my family we are all white, unlike in the U.S. not as a race but as a color of our skin, my nieces have blue and green eyes. i have friends that are very rich and have darker skin.
the people in argentina think very highly of themselves, they are famous for it, so im not surprise at all of what he had to say to you.
im from south america and i see the difference when i see a central american person in the u.s. maybe that guy hasnt been out of his country enough to see the difference.
in central america are more mix with indian, the same in south america but here we are more mix with europeans. but in central america you also find white skin people with blue or green or brown eyes. blond hair. the majority might be what you see here.
the caribe is mixed with blacks and spaniards and like i said before, they also have white skin, blue or green eyes, blond people.
im glad you wanted to know, its very annoying when i hear people stereotyping just because im from south america, even though i am whiter than my husband and he is the one called white because he is from here. they seem not see the difference. im not so sure how else to explain the difference in order to explain myself better.
unfortunately, i guess, in our countries we go by class and thats how we see the difference.
i hope i was of some help...

you know what, i think this look thing goes the same with asian...
can u actually differentiate chinese, korean, japanese, taiwanese and vietnamese?dont think so..
well, not until you're one of them..
only the person who belong to that society knows how to differentiate themselves among the others..
like me, i'm indian, but people misunderstood me for an arabian...they say, i look the same, but hey, i look absolutely nothing like an arabian..and ofcourse, only me would know that..
