I have a pentium4 3.06g laptop and
want to buy a new core dual 2 processor laptop. I want to know how
much better compare to my old laptop. Should I wait for window vista to come out and then buy? Thanks

It is newer and better and definately faster. It also uses less energy. You will not only notice a significant performance increase, but you will also get better battery life. As for Vista, if you buy a new computer now most of the major companies are giving out Vista upgrade coupons, so there is really no need to wait.

i dont know about vista ... im going to wait awhile until it becomes mainstream to see what kind of problems people have .. xp works fine imo ... the core duo is a newer and better processor .. not necessarily faster .. but better on power consumption and a dual core will allow u to do more things at once without bogging the system down ...

not at all. P$ is a much better option than the dual core as it is just new and its performance has not yet got a thumbs up from the techies.
