I doubt that I've ruined any lives, but probably hurt two people more than I ought to have. Both unintentionally.

I'd really like to hope unintentionaly, but I know I've hurt alot of people by my actions and words. I also recognize the fact that I'm a real as$#@le too. I say things that should not be said...I do it all the time..most of the time on purpose. I've only physically hurt people that were threatening my own or hit me first [I goad them into it though}.So lots I'd imagine for me anyway.

I take no personal responsibility for the substance abuse problems of certain friends of my wife. They may not have been at fault, but at the end of the day, it was sink or swim, and they chose to sink..living in the East end of Vancouver isn't enticing to me. We even decided against moving there.

It is your own life. You have a duty to better yourself. One shred of personal dignity and self-respect will tell you so. People shouldn't judge, hate and comment. There is a case for the second chance and forgiveness. That I believe in. Being a codependent savior of someone who doesn't want help but just the enabling of sympathy isn't what I want to be. It is sinking down that a lower level and isn't good for humanity. The whole 'I am a victim' mentality has gone too far. I am not saying I don't wish her friends well.

I think about them and care about them but it is not my life, it is theirs. Short of really going out of my way, I haven't ruined anyone's life. My mother claims hers was ruined. It was damaged and it was her duty to salvage it. I am not blaming her for say, my father's abandonment and neglect, just the opposite. She didn't deserve it and didn't cause it. You have to unequivocally believe that you can do better in order to do so. Then you must dedicate yourself to it. Period.

Well, if I have ruined any it has been totally unintentional.

I suppose that the person I've made life most difficult for has been myself. Although, I realize that those around me haven't been unaffected by my blunders, too.

I'd never hurt anyone, intentionally. I have a very soft heart.
