The EU expansion has seen 600,000 migrants come to Britain from Eastern Europe, and more are set to come. However, many do not seem interested in intergration, or Britain in general, just in earning pounds.
I think to encourage intergration, migrants to the UK should have to write 2000 word essays about the importance of the Ashes, and other British cultural institutions to help preserve British culture. Who agrees?

JMac, I do speak other European languages, German, Italian and a little French in fact. But no I am not planning on moving to Europe. Although I would learn the language of ANY country in the world I intended to move to before going there. Regarding 2000 word essays on most European history subjects, I would find that easy, as I have a degree in European history. Even so, if I was planning to live in anotyher country I would make the effort to learn their history and customs, but most migrant to the UK DON'T. They come here because our economy is stronger than theirs, simple. As for picking the Ashes, it was just an example of a cultural tradition, that many people outside of the former Empire would no nothing about, not meant to be the only option for knowledge tests.
