They're probably just being too lazy to price it. Steal it!!! LOL. No, don't do that. Ask for a manager if the employees are too lazy to price it for you. A barcode for anything can be found with a little effort. All they need is the SKU number. If you have the model number or could look it up, then they can price it.
What else are they going to do with it?

|I wanted a lamp at IKEA like that too and could not buy it. It has nothing to do with barcode but if an electric appliance has been unboxed int he UK it is NOT to sell. Here they tend to take that a little more seriously due to voltages and wiring.
Good luck with that and if it does not work remember it's you who wanted it so bad to make this fuss instead of looking at others. There is after all ARGOS, ASDA, and other TESCO stores.

Hi,
I had a similar experience, my husband went into river island to buy some shoes, he was size 9 anyway the shop assistant couldn't find the other size 9 to the one he was tring on,so, as we were leaving the shop I noticed the one in the window was the other size 9, we went back and told the assistant and he said, 'oh no I cant touch the display shoes', my husband said why dont you just swap it with another one of the same style but he wouldnt do it, it was just a straight swap! Unbelievable!!

As far as I know there is no legislation that states they have to sell anything to you.
Where it gets a bit grey is if it has a price on it, this could deem it as being advertised for sale and if they will not sell it to you it may fall into the realms of discrimination if you could prove that they would sell it to some one else.
By advertising it for sale I think they may be obliged to sell it to you unless prior to the time of your purchase it is withdrawn and advertised as withdrawn from sale or removed from a place that it would be construed as for sale.
There again I could be totally wrong.

good, i can't write with my left hand in any respect! yet I do a great sort of issues with my left hand, interestingly i'm left hand eye co-ordinated. Or good, whichever is the alternative of what good handers must be! I open doorways, carry luggage and do maximum stuff with my left hand.

Talk to the manager or supervisor. Have them order more just for you. Try to buy it on ebay. Good luck! Try other stores.

Shops are not legally obliged to sell you anything. Giving money is basically an "offer to trade" and they do not have to accept it.

If it goes wrong you could sue them - that's why they won't sell it to you - quite understandable these days. Go somewhere else to buy it.
