Anyone know how to change my password for my Linksys wireless network. My step son made up a password and moved out. I keep putting the one he gave me on my laptop and it doesn't work. My laptop can access the internet through my desktop.the linksys is hooked to my desk top. we have a cable modem

<>The easiest way would be to ask him. The default password is admin. However, if you wish to reset the network- YOU WILL LOSE ALL SETTINGS- press and hold the reset button for 30 seconds, then while still holding the button, remove the power cord for 10 seconds and then reconnect it and release the reset button. I suggest you ask your stepson if he knows what the settings were before you do this.

You should go to the Linksys website and try to change the password from there. If you still have the box that the router came in there is a slight possibility the password is written down on the instruction manuel in the note area (located in the back). And if that doesn't work try giving him a call to get the password if at all possible
