Education is not an indicator of intelligence. Education is a tool to enable you to better use your intelligence and increase your capabilities. All the education in the world will not make a dumb person smart, or give anyone the slightest amount of common sense.

Hey, it sounds like ur talking about me!:) When my grandmother was alive, she used to tell me all the time, "that I had an answer for everything"! and of course I use to think that she was crazy... But a couple of months ago, I realized how right she really was because I always have an answer for everything, even if I just make it up off the top of my head! But, I'd rather have an answer for everything, then to think, "that I am always right all the time"! I also have this thing, where I can't stand to be around ppl who, "think that they are smart, but really say stupid s**t all the damn time!" I'd also rather be, "a smart-a*s" then to admit when I am wrong!

Yes, but there are a lot of differend kinds of intelligence: scholary, scientific, practical etc. and social intelligence.
Posessing one kind of intelligence doesn't mean you are also intelligent when it comes to life matters. You could be the most brilliant scientist and don't know anything about real life.
Who thinks or says that they have all the answers clearly they don't know what they're talking about. And to be honest I don't think that politicians are intelligent at all.

Free thinkers are exactly that free thinkers. You are right no one person is completly right that is why we call ourselves human. But if you do realize one thing realize this. The fact that our government is run now by big business and not by the peole as well as there is a huge war out against personal freedom then you might be okay?

You are right. Some intelligent people lack good old common sense because they neglected it during their quest for logical sense.

Trying to force people into 'groups' or force ourselves into 'groups,' I think we have a habit of recreating definitions to words and labeling and that moves on to justifying existence and opinion... and finally just plain nastiness. Some are sucked into a world of power grab and others a world of following... kinda reminds me of high school clicks!

It's not intelligence or lack of common sense.. It's self destruction by greed-ego-pride-power....

Quite true. This, and the fact that politicians are not courageous enough to admit when they are wrong or committed an oversight in their thinking and statements.

That is so true. I know so many people with tech/science jobs that are complete Bush worshippers.

Anyone who "wants" to be a politician, should automatically be barred from being one!
