If two people who know each other, but are both more listeners than talkers, kinda shy people, how is conversation supposed to happen? If they're both listening for conversation but nothing is going on, are they just sitting there listening together or waiting for the other person to say something do you think?

I think that 2 shy and quiet people get on better than one would think as they can understand what the other is going through. It would be hard to start off with but I think over time it would work really well.

U need to be creative to start a conversation. If both of U are just listening then no one is talking. Start something with humor to break the ice. Make the message interesting for the other party to listen. Pose question, so that both of U can interact. Exchange ideas and ask for opinion. Argue the facts to make your partner to think for answer. As such, conversation will become very lively and interesting.

If you are comfortable around each other the best thing to do is just strike up conversation about anything. Talk about you favorite things, or the stars, or what you both want out of life...then, make it happen!

This has actually happened to me before in a relationship. I found we were more interested in doing other things together instead of talking: sex, going to art museums, going to movies, looking for books in bookstores, etc. The most difficult part was when we needed to call each other by phone to get together, and we were more used to someone else calling us instead of calling the other person.

yea jo
im pretty shy myself
and i am not so good with starting conversations
and if im alone or around any other shy people its pretty hard to get a good conversation out and bond
maybe they are not good with words and are scared youll laugh at what they say
or maybe they just dont see anything to talk about
