Government jobs.... Diplomatic stuff.... The Corporate World... since most business have not branched out all around the world, multinationals need individuals who are able to give input on foreugn policies, relationship and so on... Lots of options including teaching....

I personally think that with simply a bachelor's finding a career can be a bit tough. As a polisci major I found that you can do the generic type jobs such as consulting firm work that students with bachelor's in other fields may acquire as well. The thing is you're pretty much qualified to take any type of office entry level work. I think students who do get PS degrees usually head into law school because that is where their interest lies. If that doesn't interest you, other fields would be working in government but usually an internship would better help get a position in campaining. You can work in the research or consulting field whether it's working for a firm or an organization like nonprofits. If you want something outside of the political field, you can also do marketing, advertising, finance type entry level work as that is what a lot of graduates tend to head towards if they tend to have a liberal arts major. Just be prepared to work in an entry level position after work because although you may have heard of people landing great jobs, the more common scenario is to do entry level work which may include some administrative tasks.

It's definitely tough but defining what you want to do may be the best way to go even if it requires exploring other fields before dropping loads of cash on an education you might not want. I made the mistake of not taking some time off and figuring out what it is that I wanted to do and ended up with thousands of dollars in loan and a law school education I don't plan on using.

One works in Washington DC, not as an attorney but as a lobbying aide.
