If you are Chinese, you can go to a Chinese store and buy all sorts of neat paper clothes, cars, houses and stuff made of paper especially for dead people. You then burn it and they get it in heaven. You can also buy them "Hell money" to spend.

There is a lot of inflation in heaven, so it comes in large denominations.

Do a search on the word Hell Money China and you will read more about this.

They will reward you by not haunting you.

Or so they say.

No. We and just about any actions we decide to take are lost on the deceased.

Like our friend jojo suggested you can pray and truly wish the best for them. This can have an effect. They are not dead really and can receive your love.

it is true you can please dead people by shopping for a present. The most pleasant part is actually buying the present too- one can't shop without spending money (usually) so the pleasantries are lost in the deliverance.

The souls of the departed will always be happy when you continuously pray for them. Hoping that they are at peace with the Creator.

Any presents will not do anyhting to make them happy. But if its your belief that it will make them happy, do everything for them 'sincerely' and surely, they will be happy in the after life.

Good day.

Never! Because, your family will think you're an idiot for wasting your money away on needless things.

No. Dead people are dead, which means they have ceased to exist.

Not being rude or anything but I haven't asked any of them. I'm sure if I did, they would probably say that they would have appreciated before they died.
