In a divorce/child custody battle. My son 14 would like to tell someone that he wants to live with mom. As of right now mom has 55% & dad has 45%. He had an attorney appointed during court before he turned 14. What are his options now?

He has to decide for himself and at his age , i guess he can because he is old enough to discern what is right and wrong.

he has no rights. as a child, he must abide by the courts ruling until he is 18 years old. If you try to take him away full-time because that is what he wants, then you will be in contempt of the courts ruling. the judge has to rule in your favor that you get full custody of the child or the father has to relinquish his rights to see his child, which rarely ever happens. at least thats the way it is in california.

Sorry but since your son is not 18 yet so he really don't have a choice but to abide to the court's ruling.

Its the courts choice. I hope you got good lawayer. Your son is above 18 and hence his choice wont be listened.
