Parental controls are options, typically included in digital television services, computer and video games, or computer software used to access the Internet, that allows a parent to monitor or limit what a child can see or do. These controls may allow for the blocking of television stations using V-Chip technology, the removal of gore from computer games, the blocking of inappropriate websites, such as those containing pornography, or the automatic censoring of swearing.

Parental Control
is the option which you choose to limit SURFING of the site sanctioned by you as a parent to your kids, This option works like this.
Under allowed site :
you give their names and address

Only those sites you have mentioned thus will open in the browser of your computer where you have selected to use parental control.

This is to keep kids away from harmful sites on the internet.
Moreover this option works if you have different passwords for different users, like you have a seperate password with Administrator previlages and kids has user passwords or guest workspace.
