Yeast comes from moisture and heat. A good set up for it is under the breasts. It will become very itchy. The best thing to do is to keep the area dry and clean. An excellent medication for this is clotrimaderm cream 1 per cent/clotrimazole 7 percent. Bacteria forms in moist areas that do not get aired out easily. This is not your fault. Try to wear a fresh bra preferably made of cotton which will discourage this situation with a sprinkling of corn starch. If you have more personal questions, please feel free to contact me direct.

Yeast infections can happen on alot of body parts.
I had a yeast infection on my areolas and nipples when I nursed my daughter and she had thrush (which is a yeast infection in her mouth). She 'gave' it to me.
If you're not nursing, it could be as easily explained as a virus of some sort that grew (from moisture, probably) and took hold. You'll need antibiotics.

This sometimes happens, especially to women with large breasts. The under-side of the breast tends to sweat ... and in doing so, it creates moisture ... the perfect breeding ground for bacteria, such as yeast to grow. It's much more common in the vaginal area ... but does affect the breasts on occasion. If a woman is prone to this ... a small sprinkle of baby powder, a couple of times a day ... should prevent this from occurring.

It's probably not yeast, it probably is just a fungal infection. Just buy some Selsen Blue anti dandriff shampoo and put in on there in the shower and it should go away. It's not a big deal, there is fungal spores everywhere and they thrive in warm moist areas.

If you're nursing a baby you can. Although it's not called a yeast infection, it's thrush.

Has she been using anything on her breasts that might have irritated the skin or killed the natural protective bacteria that live on the skin there?
