I'm studying for the Regulation part of the CPA exam - it's mostly tax and business law - it is SOOOOOOOO boring but somehow, eating dry cereal (Raisin Bran Crunch) really helps! I will have to buy a whole lot (I'm currently in a hotel). Why can I actually stay awake and even concentrate at this insane hour, merely because I'm crunching while studying? Thanks!

According to a special english teacher I had, chewing gum, especally minty gum, opens your airways and allows more oxygen to the brain.

I think it's because studying involves and energetic waste, and eating or chewing gives you energy from the food or from the sugar of the chewing gum.

Eh, it helps. My favorite strategy when I had to study especially late was to make the room freezing cold.
