You do not need an ATM card to withdraw money from a Bank of America savings account. You can transfer funds online to the person you're trying to pay, or if you need the cash, you can go into the bank and make a withdraw from the teller.

It's not required, but it makes things a lot easier because you don't need to go inside the bank and stand on line, nor does the bank need to be open. You are not restricted on where you can use the ATM card (although if you use a bank that's not yours there is a service fee)

To get one, go into your bank and talk to the person at the customer service desk. They will give you one and connect it to your account.
