If you don't know what her reaction is going to be, or even if she homophopic or not, you'll have to come up with something so you can start a discussion with her to see where she stands as far as gay people go, i suggest this so you'll know what she thinks before you say something to her about being attracted to her.

Define "Like" as in a friend, or as in a potential lover?
If you put the touch on her and she's straight and you KNOW she's straight? You'll probably mess up her mind and the friendship. I strongly encourage you to not do this if you value her as a friend

Here's the thing...falling for a straight woman is an exercise in self-loathing. You are only setting yourself up for heartbreak.

If you know she is straight, don't bother, honey. Go after people who share your orientation.
If you want to find out if she is bi, then discuss the topic over coffee or something, without the expectation that she is going to fall for you.

women always like a compliment! even if it scares them. so just let her know, but explain if it's not something she would do it's OK. it took this chick 3 yrs. to convince me to try it. my last and only time. not that i disliked the relationship, i just didn't trust anyone else. good luck, and if she says no just move on, it'll show her what she's missing.

Answer: She doesn't. Under no circumstance would she want to be humiliated and laughed at later.
