i've been there at 12, 18, 23 and 33 and everytime the people were nice and of course polite...

i like the food, its not bland like some people think. you just need to go to a good restaurant, just like in the US, if you go to a bad restaurant you wont get good food.

anyways, at 18 i stayed for 4 months in bournemouth, its south of london, beautiful place to go and everybody is friendly.

at 33 was the last time i went and it was with my husband, his first time there or out of the us. he loved it, he wants to go back, so much to see, so much history. he loved the food, the people everything.

i love their accents and the people. great place to visit !!!

The country is fine I suppose.. but it doesn't have the charm and identity that other countries in Britain have.

The English, well they have many different accents across the whole of the country and I hate them all. lol sorry. Only a few random people in England have nice accents, no town or area has a pleasant one.

The who chav thing is too predominant. Not enough culture..
Not much else I can say really, like the other poster said the people are individuals so we can't possibly comment.
Plus the scenery is so varied, it's more about opinions on Britain than England I would say. The countries have too much in common and England doesn't have enough itself to be evaluated on it's own (imo) but it does have a lot of interesting things dotted around it.

But then again so do many countries..

Museums, scenery (white cliffs of dover, lake district. stonehenge etc for example) food (weird-nothing exciting except fish and chips-yum!)

London...cool but over-rated and a lot of arrogant people.

i think of it incredibly is cool. Have on no account been there, yet at some point i might decide to circulate. we don't think of you drink tea with the queen, yet I for one think of that tea is a nicely-liked beverage aside from the pint (love English ale), the only beer i'll drink. various people hint there roots returned to England (my grandmother replaced into from Kent). additionally, you have lots of the terrific Rock communities of all time, Beatles, Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, The Who etc. yet you are able to save the Spice women. enjoyed Princess (continuously would be) Di a real princess with a heart of gold. Shakespeare between the terrific writers. And my all time Christmas well known "A Christmas Carol".

I am ashamed of England. As the forefathers of the United States they have lead poorly by example. They have become socialist, they punish people who wish to excell. They have banned guns, so now only bad guys are armed. They've raised taxes to the point where its a burden to run a business. I wouldn't want to live there
