You could look at it as a trial period. It's one thing to dress for fun, but every day can be trying for some. Personally, i'd stay away from it, unless I was going all the way (which I did). I wish I had that opportunity when I was younger. Even here in San Francisco, 75 % of the transsexuals are unemployed.

Talk to your boss and make clear what your situation is. If he/she has no problem with it, go ahead! If it may interfere with your work, then you can appeal or you can dress as you wish and take the punishment doled onto you.

Just remember, whatever you choose, that the workplace is for looking professional. Whether the clothing be 'feminine' or 'masculine', it should be low-key, smart, and practical.

Good luck!

A question...does you potential employer know that you are not female? If you're well known, does that mean that people know that you dress fem?

Well, if you've been dressing the part, and acting the part, and you've done it successfully, then I wouldn't worry

HOWEVER, how are you going to hide your adams apple? And when this information gets out (and it will, someday) how are you going to deal with it then?

If you feel comfortable, then you should. It sounds like a great chance to be yourself in a more daily and public way.

Go for it, if its what you want. This chance may not come round again for a while so go for it. Best of luck!

Do what you want just be comfortable with who you are.

When others see you are comfortable then no harm no foul.
