Me and this girl are not really good friend...I don't mind talking to her but I have to avoid it because if I made a mistake and say something to her that I shouldn't supposed too and carried away the conversation.and we ended up gossiping..then at the end I'll be in trouble even I didn't say anything wrong....I live in a small town with 35 thousand only the population..most people here are noisy of somebody else business. This is why I would like to avoid talking to her...My problem is my husband always picking up the phone and he give it to me if the calls is for me..Most of the people I know the screen the phone calls but I can't do it on my phone because of my husband...NOw what should I do??This girl only call me on her lunch break around 10pm at night...Any suggestions in how to avoid and what should I do everytime my husband answer the phone and give it to me.

Tell the person calling that it is a bad time for you and you don't really have time to talk to her right now, then hang up. And tell your husband that when this person calls again, not to give you the phone, but tell her that you are not available.

I had this crazy neighbor that would call me all the time, I couldn't stand talking to her cause she was so boring and sorry but really stupid and never shut up i would be on the phone for over and hr sometimes. When I tried to tell her that I had to get off the phone it was hard.
So one day she called me 15 times in a row within seconds of each other. I wasnt home at the time and I checked the caller ID 15 times!
It was not easy cause when she couldnt get a hold of me on the phone she would come and knock on the door. it was so annoying. I just stopped answering the phone cause I had caller id and hid when ever she knocked. she stopped calling eventually and I think she got the message. then she moved away I was soooo happy.
Just avoid her she will get the message!

TALK to her about the most boring things. Such as how you cleaned your cabinets out or what she thinks might be the best tub cleaner. When she tries to switch the gossip just right out ignore what she says and switch it back again to the mondane chores ect. OR which lower calorie bread tastes better. LOL Believe me if she is the gossip the isn't going to like this one bit and the phone calls will start to dimishish.

what you should do first is to tell your husband to not accept calls from that person and say either you are gone somewhere or they have the wrong number. In my town we have 3,561 people so if the one person at the end of the number knows anything then everyone else does as well. so i wouldnt worry about avoiding one person on the phone.

you are an adult. you shouldn't have to have your calls screened. you should be honest with this girl. if you really don't want to gossip then when she gets started interrupt her, say that you don't think that subject is any of your business and that you'd rather not talk about it. and if you just don't want to speak with her period then be honest about that but make sure you give an honest reason as to why you don't want to have converstion. who cares if she gets upset, she's not a good friend anyway right? as far as your husband, make sure he knows how you feel about this girl. ask him to help you out. and if that doesn't work block her number!!!

Everytime she calls, tell her that you and your husband are having a private or important talk. Do this every time and maybe she will get the message.

juat tell you husband that when she calls to tell her your not home or either you are busy doing something explaine to him that she just wants to gossip and you dont like that and to stop giving you the phone when she calls

just speak to ur husband, about dis gal, may be he can help u out. otherwise, just meet dis gal once and tell her how uncomfortable u feel wid her and donot want to be wid her, Tell her not to disturb u , u have ur family, and most important ask her, why she needs to speak to and why u only ? wats the reason behind dis, ask her

unplug the phone at just around 10.. dont let your husband know that youve done it until its past her break and you can plug the phone back in.
