how to remove lower unit for merc 45hp motor?

Shift to forward. Remove the Allen Bolt that hold the little fin above the prop, remove the bolts (2-4 I not sure) and it should drop.

My man did an old Merc 40 and he undid the bolts on the plate above the prop and worked the shaft down undoing the gasket and water pump pipe.
