I'm an elementary education major and I feel that 2 is too young to start school. Maybe a daycare or babysitter would be the best option for right now. Then next school year, when she is 3, start her out at preschool for a few mornings a week and daycare the rest of the time. Preschool help prepare kids for school and by the time they go to kindergarten they already understand basic concepts like sitting still and being quiet unless called on, in addition to knowing the alphabet and counting that some schools require. Also, the socialization of preschool is very good. Then starting kindergarten at the typical age of 5 is great. Sometimes parents want to start their kids in school at 4, but in my opinion waiting till 5 is much better because then they graduate from high school at 18 and are much better prepared to make the tough choices between colleges and majors.

At the age of two, you might want to hire a babysitter for your daughter, to read to her and take an interest in her development, but you definitely should not put her in school.

i think you should put your daughter in play group after 3 years and after 4 years age you should send him school. till age of 3 years you can teach her at home with games and charts.

in ca, a child can start kindergarden if they are going to be five by dec of that school year. some preschools will take a child that is three by dec. I personally think that it depends on your child, i think that if they seem to be somewhat attached to you then perhaps getting them into a daycare/preschool right now for a few days would be good for them, transitioning is hard for children so the more they are ready the better tiem in school they will have. good luck, go with your instincts, you're the parent, you know her best!!
