If I *knew* I was gonna be deserted and I could bring more than one..... I would bring a survival guide, lots of Dean Koontz, some cross word puzzle books and a dictionary.

The Rise and Fall of the Third Reich. It is 1,176 pages long, so it would take awhile to read and re-read. It is still my favorite book of all time. In fact, I am reading it again for the 3rd time.

I would take any DIY book - how to make a hut, how to make a boat, how to make a campfire, how to catch wild animals/fish..you get the drift. I certainly wouldn't sit back & leisurely read a novel
