No. It is not wrong, and it never has been. It's always been a societal and religous preference, not a matter of ethics.

I don't think ethics and morals are the same thing necessarily. Of course, good morals are important for ethics, but something can be morally wrong without necessarily being ethically wrong.
Because of my faith, I believe sex before marriage is wrong. But I wouldn't use the word "ethics", since that generally has more to do with being honorable, honest, and fair. It's a legal term in most ways.

I think it is wrong, but that is my own personal oppinion based on religion and my own beliefs. In other's defense, it is not in a human's nature to be celibate before marrige. There are few species of animals out there that mate for life and/or raise their offspring together and do it out of instict. Humans aren't even this well designed. Marrige itself is a human tradition and law, it's not in their natural insticts, it's taught from generation to generation, the concept must be learned. If a person has no religious or other guiding factor in their beliefs, then they are right in themselves when they think that sex before marrige is not wrong. The greatest things one must remember in practicing sex before marrage are the physical and emotional strain they open themselves up to, but if they are not tought that sex before marrige is not wrong, then they are not at fault for thinking that. Everyone's code of ethics is different.

For religious, psychological, emotional reasons etc involved- I'll say yes- morally. This is a very gray question- some people might say ' you need to test drive the car first" but I think if all marriages are based on love- like it should be, then there shouldn't be any reason for all that- love should cover all things.

I personally do not think it is ethically wrong, would you buy a car without driving first, they only last a few years and marriage is suppossed to be forever. I think its common sense.

From most religious perspectives, the answer is Yes. As much as I enjoy sex, even from a non-religious perspective, the truth is that the primary purpose of sex is to procreate.....so as far as I can see it, even though I like sex, the answer is yes whether it is religious or non-religious. To add some humor, when you watch the Discovery channel, you don't see bears and/or monkeys putting on condoms when they have sex.....no...they do it out of instinct to continue their gene pool. We're not much different on our thought processes, whether we know it or not.
