Manson was entitled to a parole hearing in 2002, and was denied early release, in particular due to a "litany" of offenses ranging from drug trafficking to arson to assaulting guards. He is next eligible for parole in 2007.
Even at his age (72), he stays where he is

Manson is still in prison, where he'll stay till the day he dies, which is what he deserves. Still...you measure Manson's atrocities against Bush and Cheney's...ol' Charlie doesn't seem too bad...how come HE'S in solitary confinement while mass murderers such as these walk free?

Manson is not known to stay in prison. He gets caught. I would never let him out myself. In LA he is a celebrity sighting with panic to follow.
