A few years ago Maccas in Australia evolved a McCafe, and now they even transformed themselves from being a greasy fast food outlet to serving fresh salads and deli style baguettes. So what's happening at the McDonalds in your country? What do they sell other than burgers now-a-days? Just wondering.

I live in a small town in Ohio in the U.S.A. ~ our McDonalds sells...
Alot of beef burgers, 2 chicken sandwiches, mcnuggets, chicken strips. 3 kinds of saleds, parfets, frys & icecream. The saleds & parfets are made at the begining of the week (I worked there). They sit in the frezzer until needed & 2 of each are in the front fridge w/ a glass door so people can see them. You have a choice of vinella or choc. ice cream w/ most of the time choc. only for sundae topping. We have shakes, but it's always vinella & then whatever the sesional one is. they charge you a quater if you want more then 1 pump of sundae suyup. They have the flurrys. They have containers for 4 diff kinds, but usually they only have the stuff to make one kind. For breakfast they serve a handful of breakfast sand. & orange juice & old muffins. It says on the menu now that they have apples & milk for the kids meals. The only time I ever witnessed that being ordered, the apples were brown & icky looking. People around here know better then to order the milk. Its always expired or about to. tastes icky & sometimes curdled. When I worked there I once gave a lady some milk for her kid. it was bad, so I gave her another. that was too.I ended up giving her everysingle milk we had anywhere except 1. They were all bad. That happend on more then one occassion. You best bet for milk there is the coffee creamers. So ya, nothings going on at my McDonalds. Never has, Never will...

In the U.K the Big Tasty is being promoted at the moment, salads and deli sandwiches are still around but personally I think the whole point of visiting a "restaurant" such as Maccy D's is to indulge in high fat high salt high sugar food. If I want a salad I'll go somehere else!

Yeah, we got the baguettes, but everything else too. I guess the suburban restaurants are pretty clean, but the city ones are gross. I don't go there often, but when I do, it's a reputably clean one!!
