Hey. How do I get Windows Media to play my downloaded internet files?

Windows Media player should play the file if you right click the file and open with> Windows Media player, if it is compitable and you have the codec.
Now it depends on what format you have downloaded,such as .rm file will not be played in WMP, you will need Real player.
If you don't have the codec, WMP will say can not play file because codec is unavailable, search internet for that codec.
