Apple computers are made of quality components. The midlevel Mac costs $1500. Before I made the switch and starting using Macs, I bought all my computers from a friend who owns his owned store building computers. Larry insisted on using only the best components. A midlevel computer from Larry cost about $1500. When people say Macs are the same as PCs, but PCs are cheaper, what they are really saying is they either don't know about quality or they don't care - whichever is the case, do you think this is a good person to help you decide how to spend your money? Macs are more expensive than those PCs you see in the chain stores for the same reason a BMW is more expensive than a Yugo. The guy who said Macs have a growing virus threat should rethink his statement. There were over 500 viruses for the Mac ten years ago with OS 9 and 5% of the user base. Today there are less than 15 viruses for OS X and 10% of the user base.
