It's an area off of Florida that alot of planes and ships have disappeared in.
But they say if you were to make a triangle anywhere in the oceans the statistics would be the same.

The Bermuda Triangle, also known as the Devil's Triangle, is a geographical area in the Atlantic Ocean approximately triangular in shape and is famous for its supposed paranormal activities. The Bermuda Triangle's three corners are roughly defined by Bermuda, Puerto Rico, and Fort Lauderdale, Florida, giving it an area of nearly half a million square miles (1.2 million km²).
Paranormal Claims:
"A significant number of ships and aircraft have disappeared under highly unusual circumstances."
"Paranormal activity where the known laws of physics are violated."
It has even been suggested that "extraterrestrial beings are responsible for some of the disappearances."

The Bermuda is not dangerous at all. Usually it is human error, compass error, but now that technology is more advanced less crashes that supposedly happened, shouldn't. For example, a plane crash was reported to happen on a beach in front of hundreds of visitors but nothing showed up in a local newspaper. The marine insurer Lloyd's of London has determined the Triangle to be no more dangerous than any other area of ocean, and does not charge unusual rates for passage through the region. United States Coast Guard records confirm their conclusion. In fact, the number of supposed disappearances is relatively insignificant considering the number of ships and aircraft which pass through on a regular basis. People have noted how supernatural mysteries and paranormal things are very profitable and popular, maybe this has something to do with why people think that it is more dangerous than other parts of the ocean.

nothing to tell. Insurance claims are no different there than anywhere else.
However, the BT does form part of the Atlantic that spawns hurricanes and tropical storms. so there might the ocasion to encounter sudden storms that wouldn't occur elsewhere.
