You might need to click on F6 during the installation of Windows XP in order to load in the SATA chipset driver at the first place so your SATA drive could be recognized.

The only happens on the first generation of SATA drive. For SATA II drive, no driver load in is required as like old PATA drive.

for install of xp u must install RAID for this ur manufacturer will give u in a floppy this must solve u r problem
