ill answer in a way that is more understandable.. Classical music is music coming from the Classical era which was from 1750 to 1820. The key characteristics of Classical music is its LOGICAL. the form called sonata form was a logical way where composers could present 2 themes, develop them, then bring the listener back with a recapitulation. The philosophy at the time is that reason and logic were the way to truth and that the universe was governed by unchanging laws.Classical music is mostly homophonic meaning you are only usually hearing 1 main melody at a time, unlike a fugue whre you have many many melodies together. The notable composers where Mozart, Haydn, and Beethoven (some argue beethoven is a romantic composer, but in reality he is the bridge to romantic music). The sonata form was not the only form though, this was just the most important. Other things to listen for was that the music was singable. Usually catchy tunes that you will be able to recognize in a flash. This era was a time where composers were writing music just for the sake of music, because the patronage system was still popular (composing for someone , kings/rich).

I have a fairly special take in this area. The time period "Classic" or "Classical" in connection with song is also slightly overused. It has been carried out to indicate quite a lot of style of different varieties of song, adding Country, Rock and Jazz. I feel of it as making use of to song that's of a antique and sort marked by way of excellence. Many classical composers created their song lengthy after Beethoven, Bach, or the opposite composers mainly considered as classical. For instance, an American composer whose paintings has been viewed classical is Gershwin, who composed typically within the first part of the 20 th Century. An option time period I like is "Great Music." The challenge is that close to any time period we use will also be stretched or gotten smaller in line with a character's tastes. I feel we ought to categorize song--I do not know another method to categorise it--however take into account that the attention (or ear) of the beholder will have plenty to do with how the kinds are perceived. We would good do bigger to type song out by way of classes similar to opera and symphonic, however I might feel this might create a chance of apart from a few very beneficial song. An fascinating query. I'll be considering it for a even as.

Classical music is the sweeping term applied to the musical tradition that is untethered and almost diametrically opposed to the popular music of contemporary culture. This music evokes classical traditions, focuses on formal styles, invites technical and detailed deconstruction and criticism, and demands focused attention from the listener. This music is associated with, and often compared to, fine art and high culture, bringing with it accusations of haughtiness and exclusivity on the part of its champions. The fact remains that many "classical" pieces were the popular music of their time, and have remained popular to this day. All the same, there is no question that the public taste for and appreciation of formal music of this type has generally waned, though periods of resurgence come and go. There is therefore a nostalgia associated with classical music

I love classical music. I'm majoring in it now.
I also love baroque and the romantic period...there's lots of them
The classical and romatic period are my favorites
Classical music used to be a term to identify a certain period in time where a certain type of music was composed. Now the romantic, baroque, classical etc are all combined and considered "classical music" even tho technically its not
