The 2007 Cricket World Cup will be hosted by the West Indies from March 11 to April 28, 2007. It will be contested by 16 nations divided into 4 groups of 4 teams. The top two teams from each group will then compete in a "Super 8" format, similar to the previous "Super 6" format, from which the semi-finalists will be decided.

It is not a country rather it is a group of independent conutries located in Central America.
These include
Jamaica, Barbados, Trinidad and Antigua. In fact there are total of 11 countries in this loose confederation.
Member conutries of West Indies play cricket together. Other wise they dont have any common organizations, trade bodies, currencies etc.
They are united only ofr cricket.

wold cup 2011 will be in India, India claimed the rights to organise it. Only yet to decide whether they will shere games with Pakistan and Sri Lanka ?
