I really love Disneyland, and I love the fact that I live so near it. I have a bunch of very fond memories from there. I need some other memories to compare mine to. (English assignment)

Go ahead and tell me all. I love long stories.

Doesn't matter which park you went to. Any country will do as well as Disney CA Adventure, Epcot, etc.

Being a big scary-cat in the Haunted Mansion. You know when they lead a group of people in the waiting room and the lights go out and the scary voice comes on to tell you a brief story about the house. I would scream and cry and my dad would get mad "why are you crying?" I would cling to him like a piece of gum. Still as an adult I always grab on to my Friends and shut my eyes. Ha-ha, it's still my fave ride.

In 1969 our kitchen caught fire and while it was being repaired my father flew the family to Disneyland. I was 7 years old and my fondest memory is riding the Matterhorn. I had to go by myself as my parents don't do rollercoasters and my brother and sister are younger. I remember being absolutely thrilled as I whooshed past the Yeti and through the blue tunnels blown through with cold air.
In the evening, there were fireworks we could see from the Disneyland Hotel, and Tinkerbell flew across the sky. I also remember getting mouseketeer ears with my name embroidered on them. It was a rapturous couple of days for a 7 year old!

I'm not sure if this counts since I went just today, but I know I'm gonna remember the Haunted Mansion remade into The Nightmare Before Christmas for Halloween/Christmas. It was amazing! You could hardly call it The Haunted Mansion anymore. It's my favorite movie of all time and I never went to Disneyland this time of the year, so it was a really big surprise.
My friends and I also had The Nightmare Before Christmas hats, (Mine was a doll eating my head lol) and these reporters came over and asked our chaperones (band trip) if they could interview us for the ride. They liked how naturally girly we were when we talked.
Not sure what that's supposed to mean, but it was still AWESOME!

I really have a hard time choosing between the Haunted Mansion, Pirates of the Caribbean, Space Mountain, or the Matterhorn. It's been over 25 years since I've been there, so thanks for the blast from the past. I'm gonna go with the Haunted Mansion because of the variety of the ride and the (then) amazing technical effects of holograms. It was quite a ride!

I think year was 1963, I not go, Some of my friends from Jr high went to Disneyland, my friend mark was first to be kill at Disneyland.

May 1964: Mark Maples, a 15-year-old Long Beach, CA, resident, was killed when he tried to stand up on the Matterhorn Bobsleds. Maples (or his companion) foolishly unbuckled his seatbeat and attempted to stand up as their bobsled neared the peak of the mountain. Maples lost his balance and was thrown from the sled to the track below, fracturing his skull and ribs and causing internal injuries. He died three days later.

I have a lot of really great memories but one of the best is when my husband and i had spent all day there and after a wonderful day we sat down at the benches right in front of the castle where the moute is....my husband got down on one knee and reached into his pocket and pulled out cinderella's glass slipper...inside the slipper was a ring...he asked me to marry him right there....of course i said yes and a bunch of ppl had stopped to see and clapped and yelled congrats to us...I was soooo happy...another one was when i bought a pregnancy test and we have annual passes and i was going to find out and tell my hubby yes or no if i was pregnant...we come to find out that i was pregnant with our first child at disneyland...we told everyone that day LOL some ppl thought we were weird to take a pregnacy test there but we just love the place and are always making wonderful memories there...as a matter of fact we have a stone representing that wonderful day we found out our little girl was on the way.....another one of our children who was late in walking she was 16 months.....was crawling around the dance floor at the carnation plaza, when all of a sudden she started to stand up on her own...i yelled for my husband and we all sat and watched in awe as she began to walk...it was around 11pm and the park was closed...there were cast members all around us enjoying our amuzment at our little girl as she took her first steps! she just started walking like she had been doing it all along....I tell u there has always been magic at disneyland for the both of us...our entire family loves it there and we could never move and be without it....i hope these memories bring a smile to ur face or to anyone who reads them...thanks for letting me share...

We went to Disneyland in California in 1963 when I was 8 years old. The ticket agent at the gate told my parents that my brother and I could get in for free if our parents carried us through the gates so my uncle and my dad carried me and my 9 year old brother in and we didn't have to pay for a kids ticket.

The on running joke at my hosue is...I passed out in the middle of the parade. I fell into it and knock over one of the characters. Its a good thing too because he broke my fall.

I was pregnant!

I love disneyland too. I am always there! We normally go approx. once every week and half. Never gets boring.

It makes me smile.

I've only been there once, and that was when I was 9, but I remember being impressed by the Haunted Mansion.
