I have a lonely Zebra Danio (yes, the other similar question was me, but I didn't get any good answers to this part of the question so I'm posting it seperately) and I want to put in a Spotted, Leopard, and Pearl Danio. Will these guys school together or do I have to stick with three-four Zebra Danios. People without a clue need not apply.

Yes danioes will school together, along with white clouds minnows. We have zebra and leopard danioes with the white clouds all swimming happily together. I also had a lone flame tetra (who was caught by mistake) and he happily swam with all of the different danioes and white clouds. I also have a Siamese fighter, who amazingly gets along fine with them all, but just in case, I wouldn't go adding one just yet if you've been thinking about it. Good luck

Danios will generally school with those of their own type. However, if they see only danios of a different type, they'd gladly mingle just the same. I have zebra danios always together with a leopard danio. They're all inseparable!

For variety, you can also add a few guppies, platies, mollies, or neon tetras. These are all peaceful, schooling fish which can make your danio tank more vibrant.

My danios (all leopard) never schooled. The six of them spent the entire day playing "nip and chase" and driving the rest of the fish crazy.

I have a lone lemon tetra that schools with my 6 harlequins, so it is usually a size thing too.

I only really consider two things trolling. 1- Saying something inflammatory, not to make a point, but just to get a reaction. 2- Pretending to be the other side to make them look bad. Most of what goes on here is 2. Let's face it, I say inflammatory things all the time. But I am making a point.

They usually will, and get along quite well together as they are all schooling fish and of similar size and variety.
