Yes, you should thank him. His slip-up gave the Republicans all the ammunition they needed to take all the attention off the horrible mess that is Iraq, and place it squarely on something that has nothing to do with the upcoming election, or how they're going to solve their myriad of problems. Yes, send him flowers, and candy, too, for giving the spin doctors of the Republican Party something to pounce on and use to obfuscate and dodge the matter at hand: The Bush administrations failure in Iraq which puts our troops in harm's way every day, without proper armament, and does much more damage than any misspoken joke could ever do.

A true gift INDEED!!! evidently Liberals DO eat their young, as in Joe Lieberman.. LMAO even senator Clinton is on Kerry's case... just shows you how the rats abandon ship before it sinks!!! ( as in Kerry's CANCELLED appearances in Iowa, etc.. )
The man is a disgrace to the United States and to all the service men and women in our armed forces...

I think he was water boarded to force that insincere apology out of him.
It does show by the way he was defended by the Left, until it got to hot, how much disdain they have for the military.
