The food was so awful you nearly gagged?
Did you force it down & eat it anyway to be polite or did you tell them you weren't feeling well to get out of eating it? Or maybe just tell them it was too bad to eat?

When I was in the 6th grade I went home from school with a friend. They put mayo in their mashed potatoes and baking soda in their tea! I was getting sick from trying to get it down so I don't feel like I was lying when I told them I wasn't feeling well and asked if I could go lay down.

I haven't personally, but I got a great story for you. My wife and I are eating dinner at her sister's place. My brother-in-law is an avid outdoorsman, while my wife considers eating venison just like taking a bite out of Bambi. They fire up the grill for some brats and burgers, and about halfway through the meal, my sister-in-law asks my wife, "So how do you like the burgers?" My wife looks up, sees both of them staring at her, looks at the burger, says "Oh no." They both nod with these big Cheshire Cat grins on their faces, whereupon my wife immediately jumps up, makes a beeline to the bathroom and barfs into the toilet...just like that.
P.S. I'm not into eating anything you gotta shoot yourself, but the burgers really were delicious.

Yes, n'just to be polite, I ate from all the stuff they served, I didn't have to pig out az long az they saw me tryin' out everything on the table & smiling n'sayin' it waz good!! then, I mentioned I waz on this diet, though I'd love to eat more!!

Good Question...
It'z nice to be polite, coz itz really embarrissing for the host, I mean, what if u invited someone, tryed ur best to cook up somethin' nice for them then they didn't eat it ?? I try to put myself in the other person'z shoez, then decide what I'm gonna do.

If I had already started eating, I would gag it down. If I hadn't, I will admit I have been stricken with a sudden nauseous feeling that makes me have to leave. Luckily I can play sick well. My face gets white easy.

I'm usaully nice and just eat a little then say I'm full. My wife ate this food one time at a friends and she puked it up because it was so nasty. I almost did too but, I was able to handle it. We left right after she got sick and she said she had a flu later to keep from hurting their feelings and we never ate their food again.

sure I have. i'm a quite choosy eater so it takes position particularly typically to me :( I obviously devour it so i'm not rude yet each and every bite in basic terms receives tougher for me to devour. I attempt now to not waste it fairly if everyone else has already gotten seconds and that i'm attempting to get down the ultimate bites.

I'm lucky. I had a gastric bypass several years ago, so I can fib and say I'm just not hungry at all (it happens all the time, even when dinner is something I love).

Pull a Seinfeld and spit it out into the napkins.
