In an economy, money doesn't have value in itself (they are just bits of paper, plastic or metal). What is important is what the money represents. I give my employer my time and effort and in return get money. I then take the money to the shop and buy stuff (food, rent, electricity, movie tickets etc). Therefore, all I am really doing is swapping my work for the stuff that I buy. This means that for every $ worth of stuff that I buy, I am swapping $1 worth of work. Therefore, I justify how much I buy by how much work I do.
If I didn't want the stuff that I do, then I wouldn't work as much or would get an easier job that didn't pay so much. If I really wanted more (rather than just liking teh idea of having more), I would find another job that pays more or get a second job.

well., apart from making you feel good...
think about this...
since ur buying stuff, that creates a demand for the products you wish to buy.. to be able to produce these products businesses has to provide and supply to satify that demand. to do that.. businesses employ people.
so not only do you feel good,,, you create employment as well!! enjoy:D
