who do you think are the best starter partners for pokemon mystery dungeon?

well, they all have pretty good stats, some better than others, but most of them have nearly a full string of 4-5 rated stats

so it's based on moves, mostly

i have two files (i have red and blue versions of the game) and my charmander certainly seemed weak, defensively, but it has pretty good moves. my eevee had incredible stats - higher attack and defense than my charmander

pikachu actually is quite decent, especially since ground moves are rare in the first half of the game - by the time they appear, you are suffiently high level to null their damage

meowth and skitty also are surprisingly good picks, good stats, and they can learn some decent TMs

Probably Pikachu...I'm really regretting getting Charmander, but I'm too far in.
