Yeah, I'm pregnant, but so is my friend, and she drinks redbull like CRAZY! She's hooked on energy drinks and I tell her that it's not okay but she doesn't listen to me! Someone else please write something constructive that I can send her because she obviously doesn't want to listen to one of the healthiest pregnant people PERIOD! Her legs and ankles are swollen, but she's STILL not helping herself! I need someone to write something that I can send her so she won't give birth to a caffiene induced, comatosed or even stillborn infant! I'm strictly into nutrition, so I'm not talking through a fake friend, I just really don't want her to hate herself when the baby comes, so please before she gives birth to a real problem.

THose drinks are not good for adults. What makes her think it won't harm her baby?
I worked at a day care for teen moms and some of them didn't do very good things during pregnancy, including eating unhealthy and perhaps even drugs. A couple of them liked drinking soda all the time, with caffiene. Those kids were SOOO active they drained me. I don't know if they were HDD, but they sure acted hyper.

If she's swollen, then her chances of preeclampsia (high blood pressure caused by pregnancy) are pretty good. Trust me, she doesn't want to deliver a preemie. I had to have my daughter almost two months early via c-section. She's healthy now, but it's really scary having a NICU baby and seeing them hooked up to all sorts of machines and not being able to hold them. Tell your friend to "knock it off" and take care of herself!!!

i know you are worried about your friend and i think thats great , but you have to remember she goes to regular doc appt . also , god is going to give you the baby he wants you to have , the baby may be healthy or maybe not ,there are no guarantees, i took my vitamins , watched what i ate and drank , did all the right things , but my son was born 8 weeks early and and had some lifelong health problems .

I just have to say mind your own business. She is not going to have a baby with birth defects because of caffine. Get off your high horse.
