Suppose you tell a friend about the many trillions of neutrinos that pass through our bodies every second. Your friend becomes alarmed about this and buys a leadvest for protection.

a)What would you tell your friend to ease his fear of neutrinos?

b)If your friend is still worried, what else could you tell your friend to convice him to return the lead vest to the store and get his money back?

At first I think I'd go along with it and remind them they need to cover their head and limbs also.
After you got a good laugh tell them they are actually good for you, that they breakdown chemicals in our bodies and turn them into something healthy.
If they believe one thing they should believe the other too. I wish I had a friend like that they would be alot of fun.

1. neutrino flow is far less than trillions per second, these are rare subatomic particles.
2. neutrino can pass trough any solid material, neutrinos where discovered miles inside the earth, and they passed all this rock with ease.
3. the probability that a neutrino will cause physical damage to your body is zero.

Neutrinos pass through your body because of how small they are and do no damage at all to you.
The sansawer to your second question is:
If you wear a leadvest you could get lead poisoning which is so much worse than having some neutrinos travelling though your body.

You don't really need help.

Neutrinos don't even touch you as they pass. They don't touch anything ... that's why they cant be stopped ... even by solid rock, or a lead vest or even our planet ... or our scientists who would like to capture or see evidence of one.

Stop worrying, neutrinos barely exist, maby only in theory, and if they do we all have been living with them since the beginning of time.

Tell your friend that there's nothing to worry about -- he hasn't died yet, he won't anytime soon. Plus, Neutrinos can go through everything/anything. A lead vest won't stop them. The only thing to worry about would be radiation, and that's pretty easy to avoid for the layman.

i'll answer u r question
the first thing is that you and your friend need not worry about neutrinos .... 'cause the have very little half life period which is about some milli seconds.... so they can't exist for along time in a atmosphere like ours.....
