I used to have this problem and so did a friend of mine. See your doctor because there may be an underlying problem. In my case, I haven't had that problem since I got married and went on the pill. My friend (who is still a virgin) was actually put on Ortho Tri-Cyclen by her doc just for this reason, even though it's actually a birth control pill. It helps with acne also. Apparently it's not uncommon for doctors to prescribe them for girls like you, but it may freak your parents out, so I would bring your mom along to the appointment where she can discuss her concerns also.

I know the feeling!!!
Birth control pills did it for me. I didn't feel my period at all. It was great. No cramps!!! I loved it. Too bad I couldn't get used to the hormones and stopped taking them.
The next best thing is to take Alive pain reliever. It work's pretty well if you take it before the cramps knock you out for a few hours. My cramps used to knock me out for about 6 hours. ...It was terrible. Cramps....they felt like my insides were burning and twisting...I would throw up....I was in labor and no baby was coming out.
Also, remember to breathe if you get strong cramps. It may sound silly, but I even like to hear the vacuum cleaner and breathe at the same time. I don't know why, but it relaxes me.

It's gotten better, but if I take the Alive I don't feel a thing.
Good luck

if your not on birth control then i suggest it, i had horrible cramps to the point where i would also miss work and school and everything else in between... i use the NuvaRing, it works wonders, and i have barely any cramps, and a very light period. birth control can be prescribed (like in my case) even if your not sexually active at the time solely because it helps make your periods lighter and less painful.

I'd make an appointment with your gyne. (Get a gyne if you don't have one, they are experts in this field. A general physician is great, but a gyne is better.) There could be problems coming on, and the sooner you get a hold of it, the better. Take care of yourself. .. you may want to get pregnant some day, and if something is going on to hinder that, the sooner you find out the better. Good luck, honey!

Start taking birth control. It regulates and reduces the duration of your period. It also helps with cramps.

Try heating packs. They have therma care ones that stick to your clothes so you can hide them and they stay warm for a couple hours. You can get them at any drug store, but it works for me:)
